Cologne – June 3, 2025 – Genexis, the European leader of innovative broadband solutions, and Canadian innovator Positron Access Solutions today at ANGA COM, Cologne, announced an agreement to jointly address the legacy Multi-Dwelling Unit (MDU) market in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Under the agreement, Genexis will resell Positron’s market leading MDU ONT solution. This solution, also known as Gigabit Any Media (GAM) and relying on the ITU-T G.9960 G.hn technology, allows operators to use a single solution for any type of legacy cabling in an apartment building – whether it is coax or twisted pair – while delivering a fiber-like experience.

The Positron MDU ONT solution fully supports and utilizes the ONU Management and Control Interface (OMCI), enabling operators with the unique capability to manage any household as a PON subscriber via their existing OSS/BSS system, regardless of what OSS/BSS system and OLT they have chosen, and regardless of the legacy wiring available in the apartment building. This simplifies the deployment and operation of fiber networks, especially when OLT platforms from multiple vendors are used concurrently in the network.
